The digital world has opened many new doors for creativity, and one particular man pushed the envelope to pay tribute to a loved one in a way we’ve never seen before.

The man and his family have always had a special place in their heart for bowling, as he and his brothers grew up bowling with their father. Unfortunately, his father, John Hinkle Sr., recently passed away. His son, 39-year-old John Hinkle jr., showed some love for his pops in the best way he knew how.

Hinkle, a two-time NCAA bowling champion, who attended Western Illinois University, was introduced to the sport by his father, at a young age. So, to pay tribute to him, Hinkle did something on brand — he bowled. And right after he did so, he contact a web design company in Rockville, Maryland, Optimize Medical Design.

But it was the manner in which he did that made headlines.

Hinkle put his father’s ashes in a bowling ball, then bowled a perfect game with them, as you can see in this video embedded below.
